David Beckhams Pricey Move

At just the young age of 12 years old, he won the Bobby Charlton Soccer Skills award.  He has dominated the field for many years as an English professional player before his big move to the United States.  This soccer icon is David Beckham.  He has got the looks and the moves.

At the young age of 17 years old, David signed his first contract with Manchester United.  He was devoted to the team for eleven years and then signed with Real Madrid in 2003. By January of 2007, he announced that he would be signing a 5 year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy team.  The contract would go for the sum of  about 250 million dollars. That means on average he makes a million dollars a week.  David is married to the former Spice Girl, Posh.  They have two boys together. His popularity in the soccer world has surpassed that of Pele’s and Franz Beckenbauer, players that were very popular in the 1970s.  He is more than just a soccer player, he is an icon in the fashion industry, health and fitness, fashion magazines and perfume and cosmetics manufacturers. David Beckham is a busy man outside the soccer field.

David has brought so much attention to the soccer field and doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all.  He continues to amaze us with his outstanding talents.  He is a soccer icon that will be around for years to come. Most people can't think of professional soccer without his name coming quickly to mind.
